An Overview Of Vacuum Select Valves

A vacuum-select valve is a 3 port diverter valve used in vacuum (suction) or positive pressure conveying to divert air from one source to several pneumatic destinations.


Role In Rospen-Style Systems

In lean phase vacuum conveying systems such as those offered by Rospen, the conveying air is generated by a venturi, exhauster or roots pump and pulls product through the line. A vacuum select valve sits in the “clean” air line to choose which receiving vessel, is being supplied at any given time.

  • Multi‑way body (3‑way) to divert air flow between lines in vacuum service.
  • Hygienic design such that any dust build up externally can be easily cleaned.
  • High‑integrity seals and tight internal clearances maintain conveying vacuum and efficiency.
  • Pneumatic or electric actuation with limit switches for positive position feedback into the plant control system.
