Grant McGeever Completes 5 Valleys Ultra in Support of Local Causes
Rospen’s Grant McGeever was part of a team that completed the 5 Valleys Ultra in the Lake District on Saturday 26 September. Together, they covered 58.92 km, climbed 2,477 m and finished in 8 hours and 15 minutes. It was a tough challenge and an impressive achievement.
The event takes runners from Waterhead, Ambleside, to Keswick, crossing demanding Lake District terrain along the way. Completing that distance takes determination from the start, but the team had an important reason to keep going: they took part to support Leon and Charlotte’s fundraiser.
Leon and Charlotte are raising money for two causes close to their hearts: Reuben’s Retreat and Waterfoot Primary School. The team’s effort helped bring attention to their fundraising and the people they hope to support.
For the team, the finish line marked the end of hours of hard work across the fells. For the fundraiser, the hope is that their effort will encourage others to get behind Leon and Charlotte’s appeal.
Everyone at Rospen would like to congratulate everyone on completing the challenge. Covering nearly 59 km in just over eight hours is something to be proud of, particularly when it helps support causes that matter to the people taking part.
